Dappa Dan (born in beautiful Barbados) is an up and coming artist, who describes his music as fun, youthful and very informative. His songs embodies deep meaning as reggae music is known for raising consciousness about real issues. Those who listen to Dappa's lyrics can relate, in some way, to the message being delivered. During his teen years Dappa Dan was inspired to write and chant a few rhymes by Junior 'Lyrical' Hinds, discovering a new way to express himself in song. After some time, Dappa was introduced to the DJ scene by his close friend, Ricky 'Visor' Bryant. Consequently, he found that chanting became second nature since rhythms to flow with were more accessible. At age 30 Dappa Dan focused his attention and efforts on writing songs and honing his craft. Upon completing several songs, Dappa proceeded to record his lyrics and distributed them to friends, family, and various social media outlets, in an attempt to gather feedback on his ability. As a proponent of constructive criticism, Dappa dan welcomed all responses as they motivated him to better himself. Now, at the age of 32, Dappa Dan has decided to take a "leap of faith," by writing and recording his first calypso track, entitled "Instruction Time," under the guidance of Teddy Calderon of AudioLabbs Studio. Dappa has continued to produce quality tracks like "bawl it out, Reality time, Mari fi bun, Times In Life, Box we down, Blaze fire and more" with hard work and dedication. Stay tuned for many more releases in the coming year. THANKS... Jah bless!
